install gstreamer on moblin v2

hi like google nothing just what is important

first install fedora 10 repository

#do everything as superuser

gedit /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora.repo and paste all that is in this text file from megaupload save and exit

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RXCIMSED

type this in te terminal

sed -i 's/$releasever/10/' /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora*

now again

wget https://fedoraproject.org/static/4EBFC273.txt
(downloaded from http://fedoraproject.org/en/keys)

rpm --import 4EBFC273.txt

fedora 10 repo is installed

now u have to install rpmfusion download it from

http://rpmfusion.org/Configuration

or

wget http://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/rpmfusion-nonfree-release-stable.noarch.rpm

browse where u downloaded rpmfusion and type this in the terminal

rpm -Uvh --nodeps rpmfusion-nonfree-release-stable.noarch.rpm

rpmfusion non-free is installed

now install rpmfusion free

wget http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-stable.noarch.rpm

rpm -Uhv --nodeps rpmfusion-free-release-stable.noarch.rpm

sed -i 's/$releasever/10/' /etc/yum.repos.d/rpmfusion*

now just install gstreamer or what so ever

yum install gstreamer-plugins-ugly gstreamer-plugins-flumpegdemux

this will play ur audio files for videos to work you have to install gstreamer-ffmpeg but that won't install because the libssl in moblin is from fedora 11 so u have to do the job

wget https://fedoraproject.org/static/D22E77F2.txt

rpm --import D22E77F2.txt

sed -i 's/10/11/' /etc/yum.repo.d/fedora*

sed -i 's/10/11/' /etc/yum.repos.d/rpmfusion*

 rm -rf /var/cache/yum

then do yum install gstreamer-ffmpeg

and for ur own good after install

rm -rf /var/cache/yum
and then come back to fedora 10
sed -i 's/11/10/' /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora*
sed -i 's/11/10/' /etc/yum.repos.d/rpmfusion*

Install ubuntu on acer aspire one SD card

Simple Like Google.

1. start ubuntu installation and make a 100mb partition on the ssd(sda in partition editor) and give it the flag /boot
2. make the root directory on the sd card which will be mmcblk 4096mb is more than enough depending on ur need. and start the installation.
** after the installation is completed reboot and again log into live cd.
5. download this for Ubuntu-9.04initrd.img-2.6.28-11-generic

for Ubuntu-9.10initrd.img-2.6.31-14-generic
6. copy initrd.img for you version of ubuntu to /boot. to do this open the /boot partition so that it gets mounted. then open a terminal and type gksudo nautilus this will open nautilus as a superuser so that you can easily replace things. copy the downloaded initrd.img and replace it with the default initrd.img then reboot and you will be able to boot ubuntu. but if you do a system upgrade then this will be resetted so after booting type this in terminal

sudo gedit /etc/initramfs-tools/modules
a text will open paste these modules in a new line

mmc_core
mmc_block
sdhci
sdhci-pci

after pasting save the file. and type this in the terminal

sudo update-initramfs -u

and we are done. now u can update the kernel.
warning after ubuntu installation the first thing done shud be all these steps including the adding of modules. if not done updating the system will also result in a non bootable condition.
